This article lists some hotel alternatives in Tampere.

The event venue hotel Original Sokos Hotel Ilves is a fabulous choice to stay during the event. There are several reputable hotels belonging to different chains at the very centre of the city. Lapland Hotels, Hotel Torni Tampere and Sokos Hotel Villa Tampere have been popular among seminar attendees. Other comfortable choices include Scandic, Sokos and Holiday Inn Tampere.

Marriott opened a new hotel Courtyard Tampere City in January 2020, just in time for COVID-19. We don't have attendee feedback for this hotel yet, but it should be very nice.

If you're looking for cheaper alternatives, you might want to try Omenahotelli Tampere at Hämeenkatu 7 or Dream Hostel at Åkerlundinkatu 2. The newest self service hotel in the Tampere city centre is Hotel Citi Inn.

Hotels in Finland don't have a star system, but they tend to compare to three star hotels almost universally.
