This is a group of Private Service VLANs controlled by EUnet Finland. EUnet provides IP transit to other members of the exchange over these VLANs. Each customer has its own VLAN.

Case 1: Event or Release
An organization that is hosting an event or is releasing new content on the Internet needs more bandwidth for a relatively short time. EUnet Transit On Demand is the perfect tool to buy 10Mbps or 100Mbps of Internet bandwidth for a week.
Case 2: IP Transit
An organization has transit from one or two transit providers but desires to add traffic path redundancy to its network by adding EUnet Transit On Demand into its list of transit providers.
Alternatively the organization wants to change its transit provider entirely and use EUnet Transit On Demand exclusively.
This service can also be used for traffic engineering and load balancing Internet traffic between multiple transits. More information on service classes and bandwidth options can be found on EUnet's own Finnish product description pages.
Case 3: Emergency Transit
An organization that has fallen victim to a major network outage can get emergency transit using the EUnet Transit On Demand service for its AS. If the customer is already connected to TREX it is possible to provision this service within hours! This service typically lasts for a week, in which time the outage has either been repaired or the customer and EUnet have made a deal for more permanent transit.
